It's that special time of year again. From midday on 27th November - and for one week only - all donations made to our project helping families with parents suffering from mental health problems - Give Families Hope - will be doubled!

We are raising money to train more volunteers to support parents suffering from mental health conditions such as clinical depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and more. These conditions, brought on by things like post-natal depression; isolation; bereavement; divorce; and more, have devastating effects on the parents and young children. They can significantly reduce children's life chances; ability to make friends; and thrive at school. And they are at a much higher risk of suffering poor mental health themselves, when they become adults.

It is a vicious cycle, which if not stopped ends up costing lives. Currently, 60% of the parents we support have mental health issues, particularly depression and anxiety. Without our support they get caught in a cycle of despair, and some have no resources to break it.

We are determined to stop this, yet demand for our service is greater than ever before. Please dontate to our 'Give Families Hope' campaign to change lives today.

It costs us £1,000 to support a family for a year, help us raise £20,000 to support 20 more families.

Thank you for your support, we are grateful for every penny donated.

All the best, Nicola Winter, Scheme Manager
