We believe every child and parent deserves the best chance in life. However, behind many closed doors, there are families with young children suffering bereavement, redundancy, relationship breakdown, disability, illness, loneliness and depression. These crises affect the children as well as the parents, and when no one is there to help, the effects can last for years. Home-Start Butser volunteers change lives by supporting these families during times of crisis; they walk through the door and provide vital support.

Please help us end the devastating effects of poor mental health on families by donating to our 'Give Families Hope' campaign, in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2018. Every £1 you donate from 27th November to 4th December will be doubled!

Currently, 60% of the parents we support identify with mental health issues, particularly depression and anxiety. Without our support they get caught in a cycle of despair, and some have no resources to break the cycle. This has serious and long term effects on young children. We are determined to stop this through our volunteer-led service, yet demand for our service is greater than ever before. Please donate to our 'Give Families Hope' campaign,  to change lives today. It costs £1,000 to support a family for a year,  help us raise £20,000 to give 20 more families hope.
One donation, twice the impact. The Big Give Christmas Challenge takes place from 12pm (midday) Tues 27th November to 12pm Tues 4th December. During this week only your donation to our 'Give Families Hope' campaign will be doubled. Click to donate now.
